(1) Applications for the cleaning or bleaching especially for the removal of rust (Iron Oxide). Its utility is rust removal agent is due to its forming a stable water soluble salt with ferric iron ferrioxalate ion.

(2) Oxalic acid is used as an ingredient in some tooth whitening products. 

(3) Dilute solutions of oxalic acid can be used to remove iron from clays such as   kaolinite to produce light colour ceramics.

(4) It can be used to clean minerals like   quartz crystals and pyrite.

(5) It is used in the aluminium anodizing process with or without Sulphuric Acid.

(6). Oxalic acid is also widely used as wood bleach, mostly in crystalline from to be mixed with water for proper dilution.

(7) Oxalic Acid is also used in electronic and semiconductor industries.
